The journey's long and sometimes not too fun
I feel myself getting old and sometimes I think I'm done
I need some motivation or maybe a helping hand
To pick my self up off the ground and start living again

I thought some things would get easier the older that we got

Where I Became Me

I did most of my growing up from 85 to 92
I moved there in the sixth grade still in elementary school
Wasn't good at making friends, pretty quiet, pretty shy
I really don't remember very much about that time of my life
I grew up in a small town, where nobody knew of me,
I didn't fit in with the crowd, as cliche as that may seem,
We may not have had a lot, but I wouldn’t change a thing,
It may not have been perfect, but that's where I became me.
The high school years had ups and downs pushing hard against the mold
Then skateboarding and rock and roll began to take a hold
A daydreamer was born back then and that's never gone away
It's only grown and made me into who I am today
I grew up in a small town, where nobody knew my name,
I didn't fit in with the crowd, I'm sure that sounds a bit cliche,
We may not have had a lot, but I wouldn’t change a thing,
It may not have been perfect, but it was close enough for me.
I grew up in a small town, with a world waiting for me,
A little scared about the future, and of the things I couldn't see,
I may not have started out with much, but I wouldn’t change a thing,
